Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy constitutes the data processing policy of the operator of the en.gepardtravel.hu website (hereinafter referred to as the “Website” and the “Operator”, respectively). It contains basic information concerning the processing, handling and storage of personal data of visitors to the Website (hereinafter referred to as the “User”), as well as the rights of Users in relation to the processing of their personal data and the means by which such rights may be exercised.

This Privacy Policy complies with the applicable legislation concerning the processing of personal data. It has been prepared taking into consideration the provisions of the following legislation:

3. Legal Basis, Scope, Purpose and Duration of Data Processing

3.1. Legal Basis for Data Processing

Pursuant to Section 5 of Act CXII of 2011 on Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information, the legal basis for data processing is the voluntary consent of the Users.

3.2. Scope of the Data Processed

Users are not required to provide any personal data in order to use the Website.

During the use of the Website, the IP address of the User’s computer, the start and end time of the visit, and, in certain cases, depending on the settings of the User’s computer, the type of browser and operating system may be recorded. These data are automatically logged by the system. The Operator does not associate the data contained in the log files with other personal data. The Operator uses these data exclusively for the purpose of developing and improving the Website.

The Website provides Users with a message form through which they may send messages concerning the Website, its content or the services provided. When sending a message, the User is required to provide their name, e-mail address and telephone number.

By submitting a message, the User voluntarily consents to the processing of their personal data.

For the purpose of facilitating the identification of the User and subsequent visits to the Website, the Website may place cookies on the device used by the User for browsing. The User is informed about the use of cookies upon their first visit to the Website.

Cookies are stored on the User’s own browsing device, and therefore the User has full control over them. If the User wishes to delete or disable cookies associated with the Website, this may be done through the settings of the browser used to access the Internet or by clicking the appropriate disable button on the Cookie Policy page of the Website.

3.3. Purpose of Data Processing

The Operator uses and processes the data provided by the User exclusively for the purpose of providing a higher level of service to Users, primarily for the following purposes:

responding to questions and requests for quotations submitted through the Website and, where necessary, clarifying such requests at a later stage;
developing the content and services of the Website;
further optimising the Website so that it can better meet the needs of Users.

The data provided by the User are recorded by the Operator in an internal database accessible exclusively to the Operator’s employees. The Operator does not use the data for purposes other than those specified above. Personal data are disclosed to third parties only with the User’s prior and informed consent. This does not apply to data transfers that may be required by law.

3.4. Duration of Data Processing

The Operator is entitled to process the data provided by the User (name, e-mail address and telephone number) until the User exercises their right to request the deletion of their data. In the event that the User declines an offer received from the Operator, the Operator shall delete the User’s provided data without undue delay.

4. Data Security Measures

The Operator stores the data in Hungary, on dedicated servers installed in the server facility of Rackhost Zrt., which is protected by security measures.

The Website has an HTTPS certificate, thereby ensuring that messages sent by Users through the Website cannot be intercepted.

5. Amendments to the Privacy Policy

The Operator reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy. The Operator shall publish the current version of the Privacy Policy on the Website. Users are responsible for checking the Website from time to time to ensure that they are aware of any changes.

6. Rights of Data Subjects

The User may request information regarding the processing of their personal data, request access to the data being processed, and request the rectification or deletion of their personal data by contacting the Data Controller using the contact details provided above. The Operator shall carry out the requested rectification or deletion within 5 working days of receiving the request.

The User may object to the processing of their personal data in the cases specified by the applicable legislation.

7. Legal Remedies

Users may exercise their right to seek legal remedy or submit a complaint to the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH), at the following address:
